Delivery of voting documents – DISCRIMINATION
The Malta Police Union complained with the adminsitrarion of the Police Force for discriminating against Police Sergeants stationed at districts.
Due to lack of staff, mismanagement and the way how the Commissioner of Police decided to form the new Police Districts without any consulation with the Union, our members are to suffer by not being given the opportunity to earn extra income.
This is another blow to our District Officers who are the only ones not benefiting from the Special Duty Allowance, but are stretched to the limit.
The Union was right to register a Dispute against the Commissioner of Police regarding the new districts.
It is easy to quote ‘exigencies of the service’ when you not have any idea what this really means.
