    Subject: Interpretation anomaly in the 2018 Sectoral Agreement for the Members of the Malta Police Force which is now solved.

    On the 21st March 2022, The Police Officers Union and the Malta Police Union held a meeting with the Permanent Secretary Mr. Kevin Mahoney, where the Commissioner of Police was also present, to discuss the anomaly which has been of concern to both Unions since the signing of the Sectoral Agreement and which effected a large number of members as these were being denied the proper amount due to them of the Service Pension.

     

    The Police Officers Union and the Malta Police Union, throughout these years had several separate meetings addressing this issue and pursued different ways, however the result reached in this meeting is to the benefit of those member effected.

     

    Both Unions thank all those involved in resolving this issue.
