Alexander Schembri joined the Malta Police Force on 28th June 1994 and was promoted to Police Sergeant in 1999.
He served mainly as a district officer in several districts in both Regions A and B. He also served in the Administrative Law Enforcement section for almost three years. As from December 2016 onwards he was assigned to be the Details and Logistics Officer at Valletta District.
He was a member of the Executive Committee of MPU between 2002 and 2005. In 2015, following the registration of the MPU as a fully-fledged trade union, he was elected once again in the Executive Committee and was appointed as Vice-Treasurer. He was elected as President of the Association in 2018 and again in 2021.
His aim is one - that the team achieves the best working conditions for all police officers.
